Gynecology is the branch of medicine dealing with health care for women. Gyecologic surgery includes certain problems of the female genitourinary tract. Specialty certification boards have also been established in gynecology oncology, endocrinology and infertility. Procedures performed at ESC include

D&C (Dilation and Curettage)
  A D&C is a procedure in which the lining of the womb (uterus), also known as the endometrium, is scraped away. Dilation refers to the stretching the opening of the cervix. The loosening and removal the lining of the uterus is called curettage.
Hysteroscopy
  Hysteroscopy is a way to look inside the uterus. A hysteroscope is a thin, telescope-like device that is inserted into the uterus through the vagina and cervix. It may help a doctor diagnose or treat a uterine problem.

Polypectomy
  Polypectomy is the removal of a polyp. Polyps are abnormal growths of tissue which vary in size from a tiny dot to several inches. They are usually removed because they can cause bleeding, contain cancer, or be a precursor of cancer.

Tubal Ligation
  Tubal ligation, commonly knows as "getting your tubes tied," is a surgical sterilization technique for women. This procedure closes the fallopian tubes, and stops the egg from traveling to the uterus from the ovary.
Endometrial Ablation
  An endometrial ablation is a surgical technique used to eliminate the endometrial lining of the uterus. Its purpose is to end the menstrual flow.
Tubal Reanastamosis
  Tubal reanastamosis (reconnection of the tubes) is a reversal of a tubal ligation. The surgeon removes the blocked portion of the fallopian tubes.
Cervical Cerclage
  Cervical cerclage is a surgical procedure used to keep the cervix closed during pregnancy. It is used to prevent a miscarriage or premature delivery if you have an incompetent cervix.
Endometrial Biopsy
  Endometrial biopsy is a procedure in which a tissue sample is obtained from the endometrium (the inside lining of the uterus) and is then observed under a microscope. The tissue is thoroughly examined for any cell abnormalities or cancer.
Diagnostic Laparoscopy / Pelviscopy
  Diagnostic laparoscopy is minimally invasive surgery for the diagnosis of a medical ailment. Pelviscopy refers to a special type of operative laparoscopy, in which more extensive procedures are performed.
Laparoscopic Procedures
  Including Lysis of Adhesions, removal of tubes/ovaries, and drainage of ovarian cysts.
